Middle Eastern Airlines to increase flights to Sri Lanka
Bahrain's national carrier Gulf Air has decided to resume direct flights to Sri Lanka.
From the 15th of this month, the airline will operate two flights a week to the Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport using the airline's latest Airbus A-320 aircraft.
Although Gulf Air has operated direct flights between Bahrain and Sri Lanka since 1981, flights were suspended due to the global coronavirus pandemic.
Meanwhile, Emirates has also taken steps to increase the number of weekly flights to Sri Lanka from four to six.
These additional flights will be operational from the 27th.
