Sri Lankan tea prices show growth
Sri Lanka's tea prices showed a modest increase in January.
The average price of a kilogram of tea in January was Rs 645.02 cents, an increase of Rs. 56.17 compared to January last year.
However, tea prices rose nominally in January compared to December.
In January, the price of a kilogram of tea in the highlands rose by Rs. 77.43, while the price of central region tea rose by Rs. 90.75 cents.
Low country tea prices have risen by Rs. 44.30 cents in January.
