1,087 Sri Lankans stranded overseas repatriated
Another 1,087 Sri Lankans stranded abroad due to the COVID-19 expansion have arrived in the island via the Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake
The group arrived on the island on 22 flights during the past 24 hours ending at 08:30 am today.
The Hiru News correspondent at the airport said that the group included 306 Sri Lankans who were harassed while going for jobs in the United Arab Emirates, as well as 165 people who had come from Qatar.
