'Vaari Saubhagya' commences from Anuradhapura
The 'Vaari Saubhagya' program mentioned in the Vistas of Prosperity and Splendour policy statement was launched under the patronage of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa at Palugaswewa, Anuradhapura.
According to the programme, 5,000 small rural tanks are to be rehabilitated.
As the first step, President Gotabaya Rajapaksa will preside over the construction of the 26 kilometre irrigation tunnel of the 94 kilometres Wayamba Ela project in the North Central Province at Palugaswewa, Anuradhapura
