Mother, father & son from same family in Maskeliya diagnosed with COVID
The Maskeliya Medical Officer of Health says that the mother, father and son of the same family in the Staspi Estate in Maskeliya have contracted coronavirus.
Accordingly, the action was taken to close down the Maskeliya Tamil Maha Vidyalaya where the COVID infected son is studying, said Maskeliya Medical Officer of Health D. Chandrarajan.
The mother of the COVID-infected student works in a garment factory in the Norwood area and 35 of its employees were directed to self-quarantine.
The Maskeliya Medical Officer of Health further stated that it was revealed that a person from the Colombo area had visited the house of the three members of the same family who were infected with COVID-19 at the Maskeliya Estate Estate.
