Western province schools - Other grades to open before 15 Feb
The Ministry of Education states that a decision can be taken over the weekend regarding the commencement of other grades of schools in the Western Province in stages.
It has been informed that a decision will be taken regarding the other grades that can be opened by holding regional coordinating committees in this regard.
However, even without a common decision, school authorities will be able to open other grades, while the primary sections is expected to open soon.
At present academic activities in schools in the Western Province are conducted only for GCE Ordinary Level students.
Accordingly, a quick decision will be taken regarding the other grades of Western Province schools and the schools can be reopen before February 15, said the Minister of Education GL Peiris.
