Tense situation at Mel Lane, Moratuwa

A tense situation arose today while attempting to clear the sidewalk stalls on Mel Lane near the Moratuwa Railway Station, between the traders, police and Moratuwa Municipal Council officials.

The traders said that if they were given a permanent place to trade, they are willing to vacate the area.
