Isolation on housing complexes in Colombo to be lifted (Video)
Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva stated that a methodology was devised to remove isolation restrictions imposed on housing complexes in Colombo. He stated that residents of the housing complexes were subjected to PCR testing and rapid antigen testing since 08 December.
Among the 697 patients that were identified yesterday (09), the highest number of patients which was 357, was identified from the Colombo District.
From the Mattakkuliya area 128 patients were identified, while 110 patients were identified from Borella.
From the Gampaha District, 219 patients were identified, which includes 47 patients from Mabola, Wattala and 55 patients from Mahara.
Meanwhile, 119 Sri Lankans who were stranded overseas arrived in Sri Lanka earlier today (10).
Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva stated that the overseas returnees are no longer required to self-quarantine at home for 14-days.
