Meeting between PM & Speaker
A meeting has taken place between Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena.
The meeting took place at the Prime Minister's official residence at Wijerama Mawatha this morning, the Prime Minister's Media Unit stated.
Discussions were held regarding the commencement of the Parliamentary session on 09 February in view of the COVID-19 spread.
The Prime Minister's Media Unit further stated that the importance of maintaining the proper functioning of Parliament under the health guidelines was also highlighted.
