23 arrested for violating quarantine regulations
Police Media Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana states that 23 persons were arrested for violating quarantine regulations outside the Western Province during the past 24 hours.
The group was arrested for not wearing a face mask and for not maintaining the social distance of one metre.
Accordingly, 2,438 persons were arrested for not wearing face masks and not keeping their social distance during the period from 30 October to date.
