Record 60 from Kusal Perera but Sri Lanka bowled out for 157
When Kusal Perera was dismissed today as the 2nd Sri Lankan wicket to fall for 60 off 69 balls, he made an unexpected and probably an undesirable record.
Earlier in the 1st session however, SL looked promising when they were going along at 71 for 1 and Kusal Perera looking good having made a quick fire 60.
The unique record was posted when he got out nicking one behind off Anrich Nortje when the team total was just 71, making it the lowest team total that a batsman who made 60+ has been dismissed at in Test cricket.
Previously it was 74, when the English batsman Johnny Tyldesley was dismissed having made 62 against Australia, way back in 1904.
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka were bowled out for 157 in the second session of the second Test vs South Africa at the Wanderers.
