Letters to Colombo will be delayed - Post master General
Post Master General Ranjith Ariyaratne says that there is a delay in the delivery of letters due to the non-operation of the night mail train and the use of postal vehicles only to deliver letters, taking into account the current Coronavirus expansion.
He said there was a delay in the distribution of letters due to the need to employ staff in accordance with health guidelines, as well as the inability to bring employees to work in isolated areas.
Due to this the delivery of letters to Colombo areas will be delayed by two days and the delivery of letters regionally will be delayed by one day, the Post Master General said
