Infant detected with coronavirus at Lady Ridgeway Hospital in Colombo
An infant admitted to the Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children in Colombo has tested positive for COVID-19.
Director General of the Hospital Dr. G. Wijesooriya said that the infant is a 10- month-old girl.
The child had been admitted yesterday under an address from Minuwangoda, he said.
Dr. Wijesooriya added that a PCR test conducted last night had confirmed that the child had contracted the virus.
