234 Sri Lankans repatriated

Another 234 Sri Lankans who were stranded overseas due to the travel restrictions imposed in view of the COVID-19 pandemic has arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport today (17) morning.

In the last 24 hours that ended at 08:30 a.m., the group was repatriated on eight flights.

The group included 24 persons from Muscat, Oman, 40 persons from the United Arab Emirates, and 42 persons from Qatar.

Hiru correspondent at Katunayake stated that another 388 passengers had left for foreign countries via the Bandaranaike International Airport this morning.
