32 year old mother and her 3 year old son killed
A 32 year old mother and her 3 year old son died after they were run over by a cab while crossing the road.
The accident occurred at Balalla, along the Padeniya - Anuradhapura road.
Eight passengers travelling in the cab have been arrested by the police.
However according to police the driver of the cab and two others have fled the accident scene.
The police spokesperson stated that investigations have commenced to arrest the suspect.
