Parliament to hold first session for 2021 on 05 Jan.
Parliament will hold its first session in 2021 on 05 January, the committee on parliamentary affairs has decided.
The committee that met recently with speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena at the chair took the decision.
It will meet again to finalize the agenda for debate.
The meeting also decided to raise the public finance committee membership from 18 to 21.
Two members will be appointed from the opposition, with one government member included.
