255 statements recorded over Mahara Prison clash
Police have so far recorded 255 statements from inmates, officers and medical staff in connection with the deadly clash at Mahara Prison.
According to police media spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana, 27 of these statements were recorded yesterday (12).
On the same day, postmortem examinations of two of the dead inmates were conducted and the reports are to be produced before courts.
