
If schools are not open GCE O/L's will have to be postponed - Education Minister
The Minister of Education Prof. G.L. Peiris states that the GCE Ordinary Level Examination will have to be postponed if it is not possible to open all schools in the country in the future.
He further said that a decision in this regard will be taken within a week.
The Minister stated this while expressing his views in Parliament today (28).
Earlier, the GCE Ordinary Level Examination for the year 2020 was scheduled to be held in 2021 from January 18 to 27.
Meanwhile, the Minister reminded that for the first time in the history of the country, the results of the GCE Advanced Level examination were released within 33 days.
