Shani Abeysekara transferred to IDH from Gallella COVID-19 treatment centre
Former Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Director Shani Abeysekara, who was tested positive for COVID-19 at Mahara Prison, has been transferred to the Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH) today, Prison officials said.
Earlier, he was taken to the COVID-19 treatment centre at Gallella in Polonnaruwa along with other inmates who tested positive for COVID-19 at Mahara.
