Presidential Pardon for 600 prisoners
The President has decided to grant amnesty to nearly 600 prisoners.
Commissioner General of Prisons Thushara Upuldeniya stated that a general pardon will be granted to those convicted of minor offenses
He also said that the President had taken this decision considering the current coronavirus epidemic situation.
