The Lalith Athulathmudali Mahapola Higher Education Scholarship Trust Fund has released the final selection list for the 2024/25 academic year scholarships to the relevant universities. Selected students are required to complete their registration online.

According to the Trust Fund, students whose names appear on the final list must log in to mahapola.lk/BankApp2025 using their National Identity Card (NIC) number and complete registration before August 17, 2026. Online registration will close on that date.

Appeals from students not selected must be submitted by universities to the University Grants Commission (UGC) before October 15, 2026.

Important Instructions for Scholarship Recipients

• After registration, print the application and submit it to the university with a copy of the bank passbook or account verification document.
• Scholarship funds will only be credited to savings/mobile accounts opened in the applicant’s name at Bank of Ceylon or People’s Bank.
• Joint bank accounts will not be accepted.
• Bank account details provided at registration cannot be changed later without proper authorization; unauthorized changes may delay or suspend payments.
