Exposition of Devni Mori Sacred Relics Concludes

The exposition of the Devni Mori Sacred Relics from India, which was open for public veneration in Sri Lanka for seven consecutive days, concluded this morning at 7:00 AM.

Throughout the past week, devotees from across the island arrived at all hours of the day, forming long queues near the Gangaramaya Temple in Hunupitiya, Colombo.

This marked the first time these Sacred Buddha Relics, discovered at the Devni Mori site in Gujarat, India, have been taken outside of India.

The Sacred Relics were brought to Sri Lanka on the 4th of February, following a personal request made by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his recent visit to India.
