Sri Lanka's Election Commission Gets New Chief

Sri Lanka’s Election Commission welcomed a new leader as Additional Commissioner of Elections Rasika Peiris officially assumed duties as the Commissioner General of Elections.

The appointment follows the retirement of Saman Sri Ratnayake, who served in the position for six years and stepped down yesterday.
