Nimal Lanza Requests Permission to Bring Food From Home

Former State Minister Nimal Lanza, who is currently in prison, has requested to receive meals from home.

Prison Media Spokesperson Jagath Weerasinghe said the request was made last afternoon and noted that the matter will be considered.

Lanza, who was arrested on the 29th of August, has been remanded until the 12th of September.

He is accused of attacking the residence of Negombo Deputy Mayor Sunil Wilbert Perera during the 2006 local government elections.
