Sri Lanka Navy Seizes Kerala Cannabis Valued Over Rs. 27 million Along with 05 suspects
The Sri Lankan Navy arrested five suspects and seized over 121kg of Kerala cannabis in separate operations in the northern sea, including areas off Delft Island, Mannar, and Vankalei.
On 29 August, four suspects were arrested off Delft Island along with two dinghie boats after authorities recovered approximately 119.5kg of Kerala cannabis.
Another suspect was arrested with 2.3kg of Kerala cannabis, in a separate operation in Vankalei, Mannar.
The seized cannabis in total is valued at more than Rs. 27 million.
The suspects, aged 26 to 51, are residents of Madampe, Kayts, and Vankalei.
