Health Ministry to Fill Key Vacancies Urgently
The Ministry of Health says suitable candidates will be urgently appointed to the vacant director positions at the Colombo and Kandy National Hospitals.
Deputy Minister Dr. Hansaka Wijemuni said the application period ended on the 27th of July, with interviews set to take place in the coming weeks.
Vacant director positions at several other major hospitals, along with several deputy director general posts in the Health Ministry, will also be filled promptly.
Currently, a number of acting directors are serving in these roles.
Dr. Wijemuni noted that these appointments aim to make the health administration sector more systematic and efficient.
