Constitutional Council to Decide on New IGP Tomorrow
The Constitutional Council will convene tomorrow to discuss on the appointment of the 37th Inspector General of Police.
Following the removal of Deshabandu Tennakoon from the position, President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has proposed Priyantha Weerasuriya for the post of Inspector General of Police (IGP).
The meeting is scheduled to take place tomorrow at 1:30 p.m., under the chairmanship of the Speaker.
