Woman Killed in Dispute Over Tree Branches in Wariyapola
A woman was killed after being struck with a weapon in Wariyapola.
Sri Lanka Police reported that the victim was a 52-year-old woman.
The altercation that led to her death began as a dispute over the removal of tree branches obstructing the path between the homes of the victim and the suspect.
The suspect, a 66-year-old man, has been taken into custody.
Authorities are conducting further investigations into the incident.
