
Sri Lanka Navy Detains 413 Indian Fishermen for Illegal Fishing
The Sri Lanka Navy has reported the detention of 413 Indian fishermen for engaging in illegal fishing activities within Sri Lankan territorial waters so far this year.
Along with the fishermen, 55 fishing vessels have also been seized and handed over for further legal action.
The Navy further stated that just yesterday, 11 more Indian fishermen were apprehended for unauthorized fishing within Sri Lankan waters.
