All first contacts of covid patient detected from Koggala apparel factory test negative
All the first contacts of the coronavirus patient detected from the Koggala Brandix apparel factory have tested negative, health authorities said today.
An employee of the Brandix apparel factory in Koggala tested positive for the coronavirus yesterday.
Soon after detecting the patient, area health authorities along with the Brandix management had taken steps to conduct PCR test on all the first contacts of the patient.
Health authorities said all contacts of the patient, nearly 109 persons, have tested negative for the virus.
While the patient had no contact with the Minuwangoda Brandix factory, authorities are investigating to ascertain her source of transmission.
A total 1500 male and female workers are employed at the Brandix factory in Koggala.
