Sajith Premadasa, the presidential candidate of Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB), has voiced strong criticism of the recent political statements from President Ranil Wickremesinghe and Anura Kumara Dissanayake, leader of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP). 

Premadasa claims that the "Ranil-Anura agreement," has now become a reality.

Premadasa stated, "President Ranil Wickremesinghe has openly expressed his support for Anura Kumara Dissanayake to become the president. This alliance between the United National Party (UNP) and the JVP signifies that President Wickremesinghe has no chance of winning on his own."

Premadasa urged UNP members not to waste their votes and instead support the SJB and its coalition, which he leads as the son of former President Ranasinghe Premadasa. 

He emphasized that a vote for Dissanayake is a vote for a group that collaborates with the current administration, which he accuses of protecting corrupt individuals.

"The Ranil-Anura agreement is a clear indication of their fear. They are afraid that we will rebuild and develop this country, create manufacturing industries, and transform all schools into smart schools. They fear that we will strengthen the health sector and establish a government that truly represents the people," Premadasa asserted
