Landslide Warnings For 05 Districts: NBRO
Landslide warnings have been issued for many divisional secretariat divisions in five districts due to the prevailing showery conditions.
Among them are several divisional secretariats in Galle, Kalutara, Matara, Ratnapura and Kegalle districts.
The warnings are effective for 24 hours from 05:00 AM this morning.
The Met Department forecasts very heavy showers above 150 mm are likely at some places in Western and Sabaragamuwa
provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.
Prevailing showery condition are expected to continue in the south-western part of the island due to the low-level atmospheric disturbance in the vicinity of Sri Lanka.
