18 Indian Fisherman Arrested In Northern Sea
18 Indian fisherfolk who were engaged in illegal fishing activities in the North Sea near Delft Islands have been arrested by the Navy.
They were arrested during a search operation conducted last night.
Navy Spokesperson Captain Gayan Wickramasuriya said that three fishing vessels were also taken into custody.
He added that the arrested fisherfolk will be taken to Kankesanturai fishing harbor and handed over for legal proceedings.
