
Remains of housemaid beheaded in Kuwait arrive in Sri Lanka
The body of a Sri Lankan woman who was killed while working as a housemaid in Kuwait has been brought to Sri Lanka.
Police Media Spokesman Ajith Rohana stated that the body was brought to the Katunayake Airport yesterday (09) on a Qatar Airways flight.
Investigations have revealed that she had been working as a housemaid since 2019 and was beheaded by another Ethiopian housemaid on April 13.
The victim was a 39 year old woman residing in Mahawa.
The postmortem examination of the body is to be conducted by the Judicial Medical Officer of the Negombo Hospital today (10).
