Train Journeys Cancelled Due to Continued Strike
The strike initiated by a group of train drivers continues today on the 3rd day.
the strike was carried out based on several problems including salary issues, non-promotion and non-recruitment.
The Secretary of the Locomotive Operating Engineers Association S.R.C.M Senanayake said that authorities have not scheduled a discussion regarding their issues so far.
The Railway Control Room says, due to the strike, 6 trains scheduled to depart from Colombo Fort this morning will be cancelled.
The number of canceled trains in the last two days is 155.
