Hospitals Grapple with Radiology Technologists Shortage, Association Calls for Recruitment Drive
The Society of Radiological Technologists Sri Lanka raises alarm over a critical shortage of radiology technicians impacting numerous hospitals across Sri Lanka.
Association chairman, Chanaka Dharmawickrama, highlighted the dire situation faced by major facilities like Colombo National Hospital, Kandy National Hospital, Karapitiya Teaching Hospital, Kurunegala General Hospital, Badulla General Hospital, and Lady Ridgeway Children's Hospital.
He emphasized the urgent need for a formal program to recruit radiographers and address this growing workforce gap.
