Woman Arrested for Alleged Involvement in Monk’s Murder
In Gampaha, a female individual was apprehended in relation to the fatal shooting of a monk at a temple in the Malvatuhiripitiya area.
Law enforcement authorities have indicated that the accused was detained on allegations of assisting and facilitating the primary suspect in the homicide case, as well as withholding factual information.
The detained individual is a 22-year-old of the Veragala, Devagala region.
The deceased monk, who served at the Kahatana Sri Ghanarama temple in Malvatuhiripitiya, was tragically gunned down on January 23.
