Over 700 Suspects Arrested in 24-Hour Yukthiya Operation Crackdown.!
Sri Lanka's Ministry of Public Security announced the arrest of 760 suspects in a 24-hour Justice Operation sweep that concluded at 12:30 AM today.
This intensive operation targeted various criminal activities, with a significant focus on drug offenses.
630 suspects were apprehended for drug-related offenses.
130 suspects were arrested on warrants issued by criminal divisions.
A substantial quantity of illegal drugs, including heroin, ice, ganja, and Mawa pills, was seized.
15 suspects on the watchlists of the Police Narcotics Bureau and the Police Special Bureau were apprehended.
12 suspects were referred to rehabilitation centers for drug addiction treatment.
15 suspects are currently under investigation under detention orders.
