Operation Yukthiya to extend until drug trafficking eradicated
Minister of Public Security Tiran Alles says that operation Yukthiya will continue until drug trafficking is eradicated in Sri Lanka.
Minister Alles has authorized the Police to carry out the operation until June 30.
He says that the operation will continue beyond June 30 if drug trafficking isn't eradicated within that window.
Meanwhile, in the 24 hours ending at 12:30 this morning, another 785 suspects were arrested in operation Yukthiya.
The Ministry of Public Security says that 613 crimes related to drug offenses were reported, along with 172 suspects on the crime brach wanted list.
Police also seized drugs, including Heroin, Ice, Cannabis, and Mawa.
