Customs Officers Launch Work-To-Rule Campaign
Sri Lankan customs officers have begun a trade union action to voice their concerns over several long-standing issues, including wage discrepancies, stalled promotions, and insufficient staffing levels.
According Amila Sanjiva, President of the Customs Officers' Association, the action signifies the frustration of customs personnel with the lack of progress on addressing these crucial matters.
He emphasized that the union will continue its world to rule campaign until satisfactory solutions are reached.
