The 3rd South Summit of the Group of 77 & China, is scheduled to be held in Kampala, Uganda today, under the theme ‘Leaving No One Behind’.

The President's Media Division said President Ranil Wickremesinghe is set to address the 3rd South Summit, which will be held today and tomorrow.

The official meeting between President Ranil Wickremesinghe and Prime Minister of Nepal Pushpa Kamal Dahal took place in Kampala, Uganda yesterday, in line with the 19th Summit of the Heads of State and Government of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM).

The leaders engaged in extensive discussions on promoting the cultural and religious relations that have existed between the two countries since the past, emphasizing the potential for promoting tourism.

With the aim of expanding political relations, a proposal was made to facilitate an exchange program for MPs to study the parliamentary affairs of both countries.
