CCPI indicates rise in inflation for December 2023
The Colombo Consumer Price Index indicates that inflation in Sri Lanka has increased in the month of December.
The Central Bank of Sri Lanka announced that surface inflation has increased from the 3.4% recorded in November 2023 to 4% in December 2023.
Surface inflation is calculated monthly based on the annual point change in the Colombo Consumer Price Index.
The CCPI is compiled to indicate average changes in the prices of goods and services located within market areas.
