The Met department predicts that Sshowers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Eastern and Uva provinces and in the Polonnaruwa, Matale, Nuwara-Eliya and Hambantota districts. 

Several spells of showers will occur in the Northern province and in the Anuradhapura and Kandy districts.

Showers or thundershowers may occur at several places elsewhere of the island after 2.00 p.m.

Fairly heavy showers above 75 mm are likely at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern and Uva provinces and in Ampara and Batticaloa districts.

Fairly strong winds about (30-40) kmph can be expected at times in the Eastern slopes of the Central hills and in the Northern, North-Central, North-western, Eastern,Uva and Southern provinces.

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces during the morning.
