Second and third phases of the Aswesuma to commence in February.
The Welfare Benefits Board has said that the second and third phases of the Aswesuma welfare benefit program will begin in the first week of February.
Chairman of the Board Jayantha Wijeratne says that those who have not yet applied for the benefits scheme can now submit their applications.
In addition, all the current recipients of the benefit program are also required to tender their data.
The Chairman says that the annual recollection of beneficiaries' data are also being carried out while adhering to legal protocols.
He further stated that the cabinet had approved a monthly allowance of Rs. 2500 to all grama niladaris associated with the aswesuma benefits program.
