19-Year-Old Shot Dead By Motorcycle Gunmen In Mt. Lavinia
A 19-year-old youth from Dehiwala has died following a shooting incident that occurred this morning on Beach Road in Mount Lavinia police confirmed.
The victim, who sustained critical injuries, was rushed to the Kalubowila Teaching Hospital, where he later succumbed to his wounds.
According to police reports, two unidentified individuals on a motorcycle approached the victim and opened fire using a 9mm handgun before fleeing the scene.
The motive behind the attack remains unclear, and investigations are currently underway.
