State Minister Pramita Bandara Tennakoon stated that two army groups have been prepared to deal with possible disaster situations.
He mentioned this while attending the press conference held at the Presidential Media Center.
The State Minister of Defense also says that 217,900 people have been affected by disasters so far this year.
The number of families among them is 51,572.
