Bill Abolishing MP Pensions to Be Passed Within Six Weeks
Leader of the House and Minister Bimal Ratnayake says that the bill abolishing the pensions of MPs which has been submitted to the parliament is expected to be passed within the next six weeks.
The Minister emphasized that the primary objective of the proposed legislation is to discourage profiteering from politics and to promote integrity in public service.
He further revealed that four ministerial residences located in Colombo have been allocated for judicial purposes, as part of ongoing administrative arrangements.
