4 police officers arrested over death of Jaffna young man.
Four police officers were apprehended in relation to the demise of an individual in Police custody in Jaffna.
Nagaraja Alex (26) died in police custody after allegedly assaulted by Police officers
Following the Jaffna Magistrate’s Court directives issued yesterday, four police officers were taken into custody.
The postmortem report has confirmed that the youth had died due to damage caused to his kidney as a result of an alleged assault.
The youth was arrested along with another suspect by the Vaddukottai Police on November 08 over a robbery but had not been remanded or released four days since his arrest.
