Six killed in road accidents during past 24 hours.
Six people have died in road accidents in several parts of Sri Lanka during the past 24 hours.
Sri Lanka Police said the victims were aged between 19 and 69 years.
A 65-year-old man died after being hit by a tipper in Malgashandiya, Katunayake.
Sri Lanka Police said a 19-year-old died and another person sustained injuries after losing control of the motorcycle they were riding and hitting an electric pole in Lenawala, Galewela.
Sri Lanka Police further said a 53-year-old man died after falling from a bus travelling from Matara to Colombo.
He had sustained serious injuries after falling from the bus in Ratmalana, and died upon admission to the Kalubowila Hospital.
A 41-year-old man died when a bicycle traveling towards Ambanpola from Galgamuwa collided with a van in Ambanpola.
A woman died after being hit by a three-wheeler near Podujana Mawatha on the Kottawa-Horana Road
