Automobile Association suspended by Sports Minister.
Sri Lanka has decided to suspend the registration of the Sri Lanka Automobile Association and appointed a temporary committee for its operations.
Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe issued an extraordinary gazette dated the 9th of August 2023, suspending the registration of the Sri Lanka Automobile Association, with immediate effect.
He also appointed a seven-member committee to look into the operations of the Sri Lanka Automobile Association, and it will be led by Mahesh Gammanpila, while Major General Indunil Ranasinghe will serve as the secretary of the committee.
